Nagpur : Sakkardara Police arrested a 35-year-old man and booked four others, including two women, for selling a girl by promising her job of a maid servant in Oman.
Cops arrested Nasiruddin alias Raja Samsuddin Shaikh (35), a resident of Sharda Mata Chowk, Bhupesh Nagar.
Other accused involved in the case, include Nasima, Akeela, Firoz and Imtiyaz. Following a complaint lodged by the victim’s complaint, police registered an offence under Sections 370 (Trafficking of persons), 371 (Habitual dealing in slaves), 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property)and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code against Nasiruddin alias Raja Samsuddin Shaikh, Nasima, Akeela, Firoz and Imtiyaz.
