Nagpur : Nagpur First, a charitable trust supporting and contributing in making Nagpur a global city, will honour 16 persons chosen from different fields at its fifth edition of Global Nagpur Summit to be held here on November 30 and December 1.
The two-day event will be held at Persistent Systems in IT Park near VNIT on November 30 and at Chitnavis Centre, Civil Lines on December 1.
Dinesh Jain, President of Nagpur First while interacting with media persons here on Tuesday at a press conference said the summit will begin on November 30 with a glittering evening of ‘Global Nagpur Awards’ at Persistent System.
He added that 15 awards and one star award will be given. Apart from this, on December 1, three different tracks on IT / ITES, Social Enterpreneurship and Environment will be held on ‘City Growth Conference’ at Chitnavis Centre, Civil Lines.
Dr Rizwan Ahmed, Chair of IT/ITES Track said that the eminent speakers and panelists under different topics will share their views on transforming Nagpur from an educational hub to a global delivery and innovation hub for IT/ITES services and solutions.
Tanvir Mirza, Track Chair for the second track on Social Entrepreneurship said that the session will focus the importance of networking, technology and fundraising for creating a greater impact in both urban and rural areas. In the third track, Vikram Naidu, Track Chair, will bring international researchers, delegations, technologists, manufacturers, consultants, vendors, EPC companies on a single platform. Faiz Wahid, Secretary of Nagpur First, briefed about the various activities carried by them throughout the year. Sanjav Arora, introduced the speakers and proposed the vote of thanks.
