‘Every police station in city to have independent room for women officers’

Nagpur : COMMISSIONER of Police Dr, Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay on Thursday said that every police station in the city will have an independent room for women officers and a rest room for their male counterparts. Dr Upadhyay was speaking at the inaugural function of first women officers’ room at Sitabuldi Police Station.

Joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Kadam, General Manager (Admin) Metro Rail Corporation Anil Kokate, Additional Commissioner of Police B G Gaikar, Deputy Commissioners of Police Vivek Masal (Zone I), Chinmay Pandit (Zone II), Rahul Maknikar (Zone III), Nilesh Bharne (Traffic) and Sambhaji Kadam (Crime) were prominently present. Dr Upadhyay said that separate room for women officers and rest room will be constructed in every police station within a year. Senior Inspector Hemant Kumar Kharabe made introductory remarks. PSI Praveen Kale conducted the proceedings of the function. Later, Assistant Inspector Chhaya Yelkebad.
