Dr. Anup Marar is Secretary of AHPI Maharashtra & Goa state chapter

The Association of Healthcare Providers (India) (AHPI) represents the majority of healthcare providers in India. AHPI actively engages with government and other stakeholders on issues that are important to deliver universal health coverage to the population at large. AHPI envisions having a healthy India, encompassing society, community, and common man on the grass root. Dr. Girdhar J. Gyani, who had superannuated from the position of Secretary General, Quality Council of India, had taken over as Director General (CEO) of AHPI. The AHPI was registered as a Society in 2012 with Dr. Prem Nair as National President and Dr. Devi Shetty as National Treasurer.

Recently, Dr. Girdhar Gyani -Director General & Dr. Alex Thomas- present National President, AHPI announced the reconstitution of AHPI Maharashtra & Goa Chapter Executive body. Mumbai-based Dr. Tarang Gianchandani -Chief Executive Officer of Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital is State President while Nagpur-based Dr. Anup Marar who recently retired as Director of Orange City Hospital & Research Institute and has now taken over as CEO (Healthcare), Meghe Group of Institutions and Director of Shalinitai Meghe Hospital & Research Center & Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Superspeciality Institute is the incoming Secretary General of AHPI state chapter.

As Convener of Vidarbha Hospitals Association; Dr. Anup Marar had been actively raising the issues of private healthcare service providers and having an ethical transparent healthcare delivery mechanism. Dr. Anup Marar is on the Visitors Board of Indira Gandhi Government Medical College, Nagpur. He is associated with many social organizations and his name has also been included in Asia Pacific’s “Who’s Who”. Recognized as a Health & Hospital Management Consultant; he is a recipient of many National & International Awards in the field of Health care. During Covid times, the Hon’ble High Court had nominated his inclusion in Covid Coordination Committee. Looking at his proactive contribution, he was also bestowed with Covid Warrior Award by the hands of the Hon’ble Maharashtra Governor in 2020.
