Nagpur : Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister, spent Sunday morning at Ramgiri here watching the telecast of the episode Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’. After that, he said that the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ would provide a boost to water conservation. It was the first episode of the programme after Modi took over as Prime Minister for the second consecutive term. In the programme, Prime Minister spoke on water conservation and also referred to the letter he wrote to Sarpanch of all Gram Panchayats in the country asking them to conserve water.
Also, he mentioned that in many villages people had responded positively to his appeal and started efforts to save water. Fadnavis said that in Maharashtra also ‘Jalyukta Shivar Abhiyan’ had helped a lot in ensuring irrigation for crops and increased availability of drinking water. People had participated wholeheartedly in the initiative, resulting in effective implementation. “I am sure that people will continue supporting water conservation initiatives and respond positively to the appeal of Prime Minister,” said the Chief Minister.
