New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate India’s biggest Drone Festival, “Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022” on Friday.
Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022 will begin at 10 am at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. It is a two-day event and will conclude on May 28. PM Modi urged all those interested in the tech sector to watch the event. The Prime Minister, in a tweet, said, “At 10 AM tomorrow, May 27, I will take part in the Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022. This forum brings together key stakeholders including StartUps with the aim of increasing India’s presence in the sector.
I’d urge all those interested in tech and innovation to watch the program.”
At the event, PM Modi will interact with Kisan drone pilots. He will witness open-air drone demonstrations and will also interact with startups in the drone exhibition centre. The PMO in a statement said, “Over 1600 delegates comprising government officials, foreign diplomats, armed forces, central armed police forces, PSUs, private companies and drone startups, etc. will participate in the Mahotsav.
More than 70 exhibitors will display various use cases of drones at the exhibition.”Notably, PM Modi will reportedly fly a professional drone at the public event. Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022 will be the world’s largest drone festival. More than 100 exhibitors will participate in it on the first day. More than twenty Cabinet Ministers are also likely to attend the inaugural day of the Drone Festival. The Drone Mahotsav 2022 aims to bring the drone industry and the stakeholders together. On Tuesday, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that India would become a Drone Hub by 2030. The Central government has already announced the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Drone and drone components.
