Nagpur : CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI) will organise Dr. Ashok S. Juwarkar Memorial Lecture on 16 th July, 2018 in the NEERI Auditorium at 4.30 pm.
The lecture will be delivered by the Chief Guest Dr. T. Srinivasu, Professor & Head, Department of Botany, RTM Nagpur University. He will speak on the topic ‘Electronic Herbarium and Digital Database of Nagpur’.
Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director, CSIR-NEERI said that the Institute organizes Dr. Ashok S. Juwarkar Memorial Lecture every year as a tribute to Late Dr. Ashok S. Juwarkar who was Former Head of Land Environment and Management Division at NEERI.
Several wastelands, belonging to Manganese Ore India Limited in Maharashtra, Western Coalfields Limited in Madhya Pradesh and Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited in Karnataka, were rejuvenated under the supervision of late Dr. Ashok S. Juwarkar.
