Nagpur : MahaMetro Nagpur’s Hingna route will be ready for trial run by June next year, according to managing director Brijesh Dixit.
The shunter engine was tested on the elevated track from Airport South to Airport Metro Station and travelled a distance of around 1.5km. With Buland moving successfully on elevated track, it becomes clear that the trains can run smoothly in that portion as well.
Buland’s testing has signalled completion of track work between Airport South and Airport Metro stations in Reach-I. The shunter engine is normally used for maintenance purpose and was initially tested in the priority section between Khapri and Airport South Metro stations. Reach-3, the section under which Hingna route comes, will have an added attraction for commuters and tourists with an almost 1km long viewing gallery facing Ambazari lake.
The gallery between Ambazari and Subhash Nagar stations will be covered by glass from both sides. Glasses will be installed on both platforms with platform of 8 meter width, which will be the center of special attraction for tourists.
He said that with the creation of world class quality stations, special attention is being given on the charity. 9 companies from abroad are working. After the hard work of 1 year Subhash Nagar Station has all the aspects of the passengers and technicians has come true.
Once the work is completed 1 rake will be brought to the Hingana route. In reply to 1, he said that the rules of airport authority have been followed. Work and work is done by getting Maha Metro as a special planning authority.
