Nagpur to Bilaspur train to be the sixth Vande Bharat express in the country. In a matter of pride for the city, the South East Central Railway (SECR) will be launching one of the high-tech trains from the city to Bilaspur.
The Vande Bharat Nagpur-Bilaspur Vande Bharat express will be the sixth train in the series to run in the country. The train will run on all days except Saturdays.
The Vande Bharat train will have halts only at Raipur, Durg, and Gondia. The other five Vande Bharat trains are Delhi Varanasi, Delhi-Katra, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Delhi –Chandigarh, and Chennai- Mysuru.
It will start from Bilaspur at 6:45 am and reach the city at 12:15 pm. From Nagpur, it will start at 2:05 pm and reach Bilaspur at 7:35 pm.
It will cover a distance of 412 km in just five and a half hours. Till now all superfast trains cover this distance in 6 to 7 hours. The Vande Bharat trains run at speed of 130 km/h. Out of the 412 km run the SECR Nagpur division has already upgraded the track between Nagpur and Durg.
Sources in railways say that the train may be commissioned on December 11 at the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who will be here to inaugurate the Samruddhi Mahamarg between Nagpur-Shirdi and Maha-Metros two sections in the city.
