Nagpur: Only five samples out of the 3,778 corona tested in the last 24 hours from entire Vidarba came positive for Covid-19 on Sunday. This means test positivity of only 0.13%, which is the lowest in the last many months.
No death was reported in the region. Despite conducting more than 1,700 tests, Nagpur district reported zero new corona cases for the second day in a row. Only 27 patients are under treatment in the district.
The number of daily tests was low due to Holi holiday on March 18. But the count surpassed the 3,500-mark on March 19.
The day also saw recoveries by 13 patients. Recovery rate improved to 98.36%. Now, entire Vidarbha has only 77 corona patients are under treatment. Majority of them are in home isolation.
Only Gondia, Gadchiroli, Buldhana and Akola reported new cases in the last 24 hours. Yavatmal continued its zero Covid streak for the sixth day.
Bhandara, Wardha, Washim now have only one patient under treatment. Apart from Nagpur (27) and Buldhana (12), no other district has more than 10 corona patients under treatment.
Yavatmal: The district has no new positive patient for the last 10 days, stated the district administration. It helped the district to remain Covid free. The toll remained unchanged at 1,803.
Amravati: No new corona case and one recovery kept the district’s caseload constant at 1,05,940 and took the total recoveries to 1,04,312 on Sunday. The number of active cases came down to four.
Wardha: There were no new corona cases, recovery or death in the district on Sunday. The caseload, recoveries and toll remained unchanged at 58,101, 57,137 and 1,351, respectively. Of the 166 reports received in the district, none came positive while only one patient is under treatment in the district.
Chandrapur: There was no new corona case after conducting 339 on Sunday. With solitary recovery and no death during the day, active cases fell to two.Caseload remained at 98,955, while the recoveries inched up to 97,386. The toll so far is 1,567.
