With television being an inseparable part of our daily lives in India, this time around, Zee TV creates history by getting a real-life couple Priya Singh and Sunny Kakkar married in the midst of their prestigious annual awards property- Zee Rishtey Awards, transforming this into a grand celebration of love- Zee TV Ki Beti Ki Shaadi.
With the Big Fat Indian wedding on the cards for the lucky couple Priya and Sunny, the pre- wedding festivities will also be celebrated with a lot of pomp and splendor. Tujhse Hai Raabta’s actors and baraati’s for the wedding, Poorva Gokhale (who plays Anupriya on the show) and Savita Prabhune (who plays Ahilya Deshmukh on the show) visited Nagpur today to invite viewers to witness the grand celebration of love as the two of them tie the nuptial knot on the stage of Zee Rishtey Awards. Whilst in the city, they visited various iconic places including Zero Mile, Tekdi Ganapati Mandir, xx housing society, did shopping and also experienced the flavors of the city’s local food and culture in true Nagpuri style. In the housing society, they made a dhamakedaar entry amidst much frenzy, dancing to the rhythms of dhol beats. They interacted with the viewers and indulged in a lot of fun games and extended a beautifully curated wedding card that read ‘Shaadi Mai Zaroor Aana’. Apart from this, they also went wedding shopping for the gorgeous couple and enjoyed their day in the city!
Poorva Gokhale said, “This is the first time that I am going to be a part of Zee Rishtey Awards and I am really looking forward to it. Spending a day in Nagpur with the couple, Sunny and Priya and partaking in their wedding celebrations has made this experience a memorable one for me and I am really excited to be a part of the festivities. Moreover, I am also nominated in the Favorite Maa category and have my fingers crossed.”
