Known as an actor who adds a comic flavour to every film with his quirkiness, Makarand Anaspure has won many hearts since the very beginning. Apart from being an inspiration to many budding actors, he has also made his mark in the industry. The critically acclaimed superstar has been appreciated many times not only in the Marathi film industry but also in Bollywood for his versatility and unique dialogue delivery style. On his birthday i.e. 22nd July, Zee Talkies celebrates his 47th birthday with a day-long back-to-back movie marathon.
Davpech is the first movie at 9 am. Directed by debutant duo Sachit Vartak and Bhimrao Mude, the movie narrates the story of Vyankat and Nilkanth who are two thieves. They are hired by Daadu to participate in a 17-year-old traditional game organized by a village called Phulgaon. If they win, they are promised a hefty sum of money. The question however is will they participate? Gallit Gondhal, Dillit Mujra is the next movie in the line-up.
Nishani Dava Angatha is a movie based on the novel with the same title by Ramesh Ingale Utradkar. The movie depicts the tactics adopted by schools and the students to achieve the cent percent Literacy rate in the Savargaon village after the launch of the Saksharta Abhiyan (Education for All) initiative. The next movie in the line-up is Punha Gondhal Punha Mujra and is directed by Balkrishna Shinde. The film revolves around the protagonists Narayan Wagh and Vishwasrao Tope battling it out to become state ministers. When Narayan wins the election by a narrow margin, Vishwasrao plays dirty to seek revenge. What tactics do they refrain to and who will succeed? De Dhakka is the story of a girl and her father who along with the family set out to fulfil her dream of dancing in a talent show. Directed by Sudesh Manjrekar and Atul Kale, this emotional movie beats all odds as the father goes on to fulfil his daughter’s dreams. Gadhvache Lagna is a story about Savlya a potter, who adores his donkey. He goes to heaven and meets Lord Indra who challenges him to build a 7-storey building in one night. Will Savlya succeed in completing this challenge?
