Nagpur: With their heads held high and hearts filled with love and respect for the nation, associates of Wockhardt Hospitals, Nagpur celebrated Independence day with zeal and fervor.
The event was attended by a huge number of employees and Mr. Ajay Patil, Chairman- Rotary Club of Nagpur was the Chief Guest for this event. The function started with flag hoisting in both the units of Wockhardt Hospital and was followed by a cultural event.
This year, however, the celebrations were restricted due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But, that did not dampen from reveling in the spirit of patriotism among the attendees of the event.
“It is a day to remember and honor the countless sacrifices of the brave freedom fighters who devoted their lives to the altar of the country’s freedom struggle. This day is an opportunity to take pride in the rich heritage, myriad cultural expressions, and the country’s achievements in different domains”, said Mr. Ajay Patil while speaking on this occasion.
“Independence Day is a festival of freedom for us. This was made possible by generations of freedom fighters; some known, many unknown. They made great sacrifices. We respect the memory of those brave martyrs and pledge to contribute physically, mentally, and emotionally for the betterment of our beloved nation”, said Mr. Abhinandan Dastenavar, Centre Head, Wockhardt Hospitals, Nagpur.
