Nagpur: Dr. Nitin Tiwari, Senior Consultant- Cardiology, Wockhardt Hospitals Nagpur has been awarded with prestigious Human Rights Award on the occasion of “World Human Rights Day”. The reputed award was given to him by National Human Rights Resources Development Association. Only five individuals from the country are given this honor every year. This makes Dr. Nitin Tiwari the only awardee in the state of Maharashtra.
The award has been given for his extraordinary contribution in the field of Interventional Cardiology and saving scores of life in his career of more than 20 years.
Dr. Tiwari was given this significant honor to also mark the contribution the doctor community has given in the field of medicine during this pandemic. “I feel highly obliged and thankful to the organization for being so thoughtful about our contributions”, said Dr. Nitin Tiwari.
“We are giving this award to Dr. Tiwari for saving valuable lives and contribute in making lives better”, said Dr. Anmol Tembhurne, National General Secretary, National Human Rights Resources Development Association, Nagpur.
The announcement of the above prize was made on World Human Rights Day in Sarnath, Varanasi.
The award was presented to Dr. Tiwari in a ceremony conducted at Wockhardt Hospitals, Nagpur in presence of team members of NHRRDA- Dr. Anmol Tembhurne, National General Secretary, Mr. Dilip Bahariya, Maharashtra President, Mr. Pradeep Trivedi, Secretary- Maharashtra and Dr. Gunwant Dhote, member. Cardiac team of Wockhardt Hospitals along with Dr. Rakesh Shah, Head- Clinical Administration was also present at the event.
