Nagpur : NITIN Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, had held a meeting at his residence with all traders associations of the city.
The meeting was organised by City BJP Vyapari Aaghadi. Among those prominently present were Mayor Nanda Jichkar, Viky Kukreja, Chairman, Standing Committee, NMC, Ashwin Mudgal, Collector, Nagpur, Krishna Khopde, MLA from East Nagpur, Anil Sole, MLC, Vikas Kumbhare, MLA from Central Nagpur, Praveen Datke, Dayashankar Tiwari, both corporators, Hemant Gandhi, President of Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC) and representatives of other traders organisations.
Pratap Motwani, Secretary of The Wholesale Grain and Seeds Merchants Association, informed Gadkari about the unallocated 68 ready shops at the New Grain Market, Kalamna Market Yard.
Gadkari directed Ashwin Mudgal, Collector to allot 68 ready shops to the traders. He also advised Krishna Khopde to support traders in the allocation of shops. Motwani also made Gadkari aware about the problems faced by traders at market yard and support received from market administration.
Motwani also requested the Union Minister for widening of Bhandara Road to 15 metres, which was rejected. Gadkari also explained the importance of wide roads at market place.
