Nagpur : A speeding truck crushed to death an on-duty employee of toll booth when he was arranging barricades on Jabalpur-Nagpur Highway near Kamptee on Saturday evening. The deceased was identified as Mohan Devrao Kohale, a resident of Wagholi. According to police, Mohan and two others were on-duty at toll booth.
They moved to Kamptee after receiving an information about road accident, at 5.30 pm. When Mohan and others were putting up barricades on the road, a speeding truck (HR-38/W-2032) loaded with chili coming from opposite direction and rammed into the barricades. Mohan was crushed under the wheels of the truck and breathed his last on the spot while Sanjay digambar Khadse (37), a resident of Kanhan and Ashwin Bhaiyyaji Makde (25), a resident of Sonali Mohadi, Bhandara were injured in the mishap.
The injured persons were rushed to a hospital where doctors administered first-aid to them. Their condition is normal. New Kamptee police registered a case under Sections 279, 304 (a), 337, 338 of IPC read with Sections 134, 184 of MVA.\
