Earlier it was reported that SAIRAT director Nagraj Manjule has roped in Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan for his next venture titled JHUND, this will be Manjule’s first Hindi film and will be produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.
Nagraj Manjule will commence the filming in Nagpur from November. The story is based on the real life of Vijay Barse, the founder of slum soccer from Nagpur. Amitabh Bachchan will be playing a retired sports teacher who trains street kids off a life of crime and drugs and redirects their talent to build a soccer team.

Currently, Amitabh is gearing up for THUGS OF HINDOSTAN’s trailer launch and will start shooting for JHUND after the Sony TV’s KAUN BANEGA CROREPATI finale episode.
Speaking to a leading media agency, Nagraj who is a big fan of Mr. Bachchan stated that, working with his idol on a story like this is a dream come true. He also added, “No other actor fits the role, only Mr. Bachchan can do justice to this particular character. All the others in the film are newcomers since I am known to work with fresh talent. The combination of Mr. Bachchan and this young team will be something to look forward to,”.
Although the plot is still unclear and release date has not yet been announced, JHUND starring Amitabh Bachchan is directed by Nagraj Manjule and produced by Bhushan Kumar.
