The Burn Unit at SMHRC has been meticulously crafted to address the unique challenges faced by burn patients. The inclusion of dedicated 5 negative pressure rooms is a significant step forward in ensuring optimal care and infection control within the unit. Negative pressure rooms are engineered with a specialized ventilation system that creates a controlled environment. This system continuously pulls air out of the room, filtering it before being released, effectively minimizing the risk of airborne contaminants. By implementing this technology in the Burn Unit, SMHRC enhances patient safety and prevents the spread of potential infections, which is crucial in the treatment of burn injuries.
