Sitabuldi Road To Be No Vehicle Zone between 4 pm to 10 pm daily.

Nagpur: Deputy commissioner of police traffic Sarang Awad has marked Sitabuldi main road as ‘no parking and no vehicle zone’ from 4 pm to 10 pm daily.

The move was initiated to de-congest the city’s most favorite shopping destination in view of the coronavirus scare. However, shopkeepers criticized the decision and pointed out that instead of taking action against illegal hawkers, the enforcement agency has made the Sitabuldi traders scapegoat.

The action seems to have been taken after a picture of Sitabuldi main road went viral on Sunday on social media and newspapers.

Though traffic police implemented the decision and started diverting vehicles coming towards Sitabuldi main road including Variety Square, it failed to identify parking space for shoppers in the small lanes interconnecting the main road.
