Russian universities organised FREE Webinar on October 19 and 20 for Indian students seeking admission for Medical degrees in Russia

Russia is safe for students; thousands of Indian students are studying for Medical degrees – Avbakar Nutsalov

While clarifying that there has been no impact of Covid-19 pandemic of the crisis in Ukraine on the higher studies in Russian Universities, Mr. Avbakar Nutsalov, Director General, Russian Centre for University Services pressed upon than more than 10,000 Indian students and lakhs of students from other countries have continued their studies without any hassles. Mr.Nutsalov has been at the forefront of promoting Russian Higher Education and Russian government universities in foreign countries since the year 1991.He oversees the promotion of leading government universities in over 70 countries.

To weed out the confusion about validity of the NEET score and to disseminate accurate informationon various issues including the Ukraine crisis and atmosphere in Russia, the universities in Russia have organised a free webinar for MBBS aspirants onOctober 19 and 20, 2022 at 7 pm. The MBBS aspirants can register themselves on www.edurussia.in to attend it, said Mr Nutsalov.

“During the recent Covid19 pandemic, Indian students who were studying all over the world were sent back toIndia. Many of the students missed their studies, many could not continue their studies.More than 10000 Indian students and few lakh foreign students were given the best possible care for more than two long years.As regards to the Ukraine situation, all Indian and foreign students are very safe and continuing their daily studies since past many months,” he said.

Speaking about the eligibility criteria set by the NMC for studying a medical degree abroad and its benefits, Mr Nutsalovsaid, “for an admission to Russian universities NMC has mentioned that NEET scores of past 3 years are eligible. So many Indian students who have qualifying scores since past 3 years are eligible to apply for admission in Russian universities this year.The upper age limit for the admission also has been scrapped.”

While speaking about the bilateral relations between Russia and India Mr Nutsalovsaid, “The relations between Russian federation and India date back many decades. Russia has been instrumental in helping India in space research projects with ISRO. Recently when thousands of Indian students were to be evacuated from Ukraine, Indian PM Spoke with the Russian President and via green corridor was created to evacuate Indian students and brought back home safely.Contributing to technology and knowledge regarding space research, setting up premium education institutes like IIT Bombay in 1958 by contributing funds, Technical experts, Technical equipment, system of high quality education, Russia has helped India in this field too. It also played a key role in training Indian scientists for DRDO and ISRO projects, training engineers on manufacturing high precision defence equipment.”

The students and their parents seeking higher education in any foreign country, need to check and consider the social, political, and economic situation within the country; Its contribution toward higher education in terms of research, development, andthe knowledge they’ve contributed to the global community, Mr Nutsalov said. “India’s diplomatic relations with that country? Do we have an Indian Embassy there? If there is a consultant or facilitator involved? How many students proceeded before me and how are they doing?, are the questions the students and their parents should seek answers to,” he added.

Mr,Nutsalov also said that the Russian universities have also announced 75 scholarships for Indian students to commomerate India’s 75 years of independence.
