Nagpur: Unidentified miscreants targeted house of an engineer and decamped with Rs 10 lakh. The burglary took place in Hudkeshwar police jurisdiction on Saturday afternoon.
According to police, Ashish Ashokrao Sonawane (35), a resident of Plot No. 38, Meherbaba Nagar, works as an engineer with a construction company. The theft took place between 12 noon and 5.30 pm on Saturday when Sonawane, along with family , had gone out to attend the marriage of his relative. The unidentified burglars entered his house by breaking open the latch of the front door and decamped with the cash Rs 10 lakh kept in an almirah.
Hudkeshwar police registered a case under Sections 454 and 380 of the IPC. The cops are checking CCTV footage and identifying the accused.
