Rani Mukerji starrer Hichki is releasing in Kazakhstan

Date:

After winning hearts in India, Rani Mukerji Hichki is all set to entertain its fans in Kazakhstan. Few days back it was reported that Hichki would release in Russia on account of Teacher’s Day and now, comes the news that the film will hit the screens in Kazakhstan, too. Hichki is being dubbed in the Russian language for the September 6 release, and the same print will hit screens in Kazakhstan on September 20.

Rani Mukerji portrays the role of a school teacher who deals with Tourette Syndrome and Rani’s performance was highly appreciated so much so that Hichki received a standing ovation at the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) and at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). Also, Rani won the Best Actress award for her outstanding performance at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. In an official statement, Rani Mukerji expressed her excitement, “It’s amazing that films can cut across cultures and languages if they carry a universal story. Hichki is a reflection of society; of how we have weaknesses that must be overcome. I’m happy that the core message is resonating with audiences across the globe.”

Directed by Sidharth P Malhotra, Hichki will be screened across 15 screens in Kazakhstan, which makes it the biggest release for a Hindi feature film in this nation since 2015. The film will release on September 20 in Kazakhstan. “Hichki has touched the hearts of audiences across age-groups, across countries. The film moved audiences at the Shanghai Film Festival where it was screened recently and we got a standing ovation there. It was an overwhelming reaction from a non-Hindi speaking market and now that the film is releasing in Russia, we expect audiences to feel the same emotions that people across the world are feeling after seeing the movie,” producer Maneesh Sharma said.
