President Ram Nath Kovind to visit Nagpur
Nagpur: President Ram Nath Kovind to visit Nagpur. President of India Ram Nath Kovind will arrive on September 22 at 4 pm to Inaugurate the newly constructed Suresh Bhat Auditorium near Reshimbag ground of south Nagpur. Along with this, the President will also inaugurate the meditation center at Dragon Palace, Kamptee.
Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has requested President of India Kovind to inaugurate Bhat Hall. Union Minister for Road, Transport, and Shipping Nitin Gadkari made a formal request to President of India recently. Highly placed sources claimed that President of India’s office has informed Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Chief Minister’s office regarding dates of President of India. Governor of Maharashtra C Vidyasagar Rao, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Mayor Nanda Jichkar, Standing Committee Chief Sandeep Jadhav, Ruling Party leader Sandip Joshi will be present on the dais.
Suresh Bhat Auditorium
President Ram Nath Kovind is also scheduled to visit the historic Deekshabhoomi. Constructed with the whopping budget of Rs 77 crore, a joint venture of Maharashtra State government and BJP ruled Nagpur Municipal Corporation the auditorium will redefine the cultural heritage of the city. Built on 14,842.43 sq mts land situated at Reshimbag area the Suresh Bhat Memorial Auditorium will be the first theatre with the ample use of solar power. The Project was started in 2010 with the budget of Rs 33.60 crore.
The auditorium will have 1,400 seats at the lower level on first floor, 1,500 on the ground and 600 seats in balcony. The stage is 25 meter wide covering 300 square meter area. The solar power system will generate 200 KW electricity per hour. As one enters the auditorium, one sees beautiful murals along the staircase.
