Paralympic Powerlifting: Pratima Bonde bags gold, Roshni Rinke bronze medals

Nagpur : City’s Pratima Bonde and Roshni Rinke bagged gold and bronze medals respectively in the National Powerlifting Championship for Divyangs at Bengaluru in Karnataka on Sunday.

Eklavya awardee Pratima lifted a total 72 kg weight in the 50 kg category to win the gold medal. In the 55 kg category, Eklavya award winner Roshni lifted 55 kg and secured third place. Both Pratima and Roshni earlier won several medals in the state and national-level competitions.

Dronacharya awardee Vijay Munishwar, mayor Dayashankar Tiwari, president of Maharashtra State Paralympic Association Manoj Balbudhe, and others have congratulated both powerlifters.
