PadMan Trailer: Akshay Kumar as ‘Pagla Superhero’ is Set To Break All Stereotypes

Akshay Kumar unveiled the official trailer of Padman the comedy-drama film written and directed by R. Balki, featuring Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in lead roles.

Amitabh Bachchan has voiced the intro in the trailer.

Amit Trivedi has composed the music of the film and all music arranged by Komail Shayan while lyrics have been penned by Kausar Munir. Arijit Singh, Neeti Mohan, Jubin Nautiyal, Divya Kumar, Vishal Dadlani and Sunidhi Chauhan have sung songs in the film. The music rights of the film have been acquired by Zee Music Company.




The film based on Twinkle Khanna’s book, The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, which is inspired from the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham. Tamil Nadu-based social activist Arunachalam Muruganantham, revolutionized the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine.

Padman revolves around the story of Arunachalam Muruganantham who invented low-cost sanitary pads. Radhika Apte plays the on-screen wife of Akshay’s character, Lakshmikant Chauhan.

In November 2017, Sony Pictures became the global distributor for the film.

The movie releases in theatres on 26th January, 2018.
