No evidence about tiger’s presence in Sahara city, Nagpur : Forest Dept

Nagpur: The forest department has termed the reports about sighting of tiger in Sahara City residential complex area as rumours.

There was panic among residents and staff on Tuesday after a section of media reported the ‘sighting’ based on a video of the tiger that went viral on social media.

“On Tuesday we scanned over 10km area around the complex and did not find any direct or indirect evidence about presence of the tiger,” said Ramesh Ghadge, range forest officer (RFO) of Butibori.

On asked about the video, Ghadge said, “The video is not connected with the area. When we inquired, the guard and lineman concerned who posted the video said they forwarded it after getting it from some persons on their group.”
