An agency has been appointed by the civic body: Suritex Pvt. Ltd which will be collecting, transporting, and recycling e-waste.

NMC Commissioner, Radhakrishnan B has confirmed that the agency will start collecting e-waste in the city from December 1, 2022.
The civic chief said, “ Apart from door-to-door collection, based on calls received on the helpline number, the NMC will also be setting up e-waste deposit centers at all 10 zonal offices.”
Dr. Ganjendra Mahalle, Deputy Municipal Commissioner added “As a pilot project, the agency has been appointed for three months. During this period, it will collect e-waste and recycle it on its own. The NMC will not provide any manpower or space for the purpose. The agency will have to provide the details of e-waste collection to zonal offices on a daily basis and submit monthly reports.”
