Nagpur : On 6th January 2019 the team 73rd NATCON along with Rotary Club of Nagpur Fort organised and successfully carried out the Walkathon event to create awareness amongst society and Common man on TB and Chest Diseases. In the Event Club- Rotarians members of Rotarty club of Nagpur Fort , – Roteractors which are college students of three Colleges /Institutes Dr Ambedkar Institute of Management and Research Studies, RH Raisoni Institute of Technology and Guru Nanak Technical Institute and Interactors , Students of Pt Bacharaj Vyas Vidyalaya and Vande Mataram Vidyalaya participated Apart from this staff of Nagpur municipal corporation, district TB office, City TB office, dr. Bagde district TB officer and TB health workers participated
The event was flagged off by Dr Radha Munje, Dr Sarnaik and Gp Capt Ambatkar at Hotel centre point. It was lead by Dr Rajesh Swarnakar, Dr Minaxi Ghatge And Dr Archana Swarnakar. The route went from hotel CP to KRIMS hospital to Deekshabhoomi chowk and back to centre point where it was received by Dr VK arora, Dr Singla and Dr Sarnaik .
Students and participants displayed various slogans related to TB elimination and TB free Nagpur.

At the end important key messages regarding Cough Hygiene and TB care was given by Dr Salil Bhargava from Indore and Dr Satish of SHARE India. Dr Abhishek Faye actively coordinated the Walkathon and worked hard to make it successful
73rd NATCON (National Conference on Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases) was conducted in Nagpur jointly by Vidarbha chest association, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College-Nagpur, Maharashtra anti-TB association under Tuberculosis Association of India from 4th to 6th January 2019 at hotel Centre point. More than 500 delegates from India and Abroad participated in this National event. Various workshops were conducted in Nagpur as part of the conference on 4th January 2019.
