Nain Na Jodeen : Ayushmann Khurrana reunites with composer Rochak Kohli for Badhaai Ho

Date:

After collaborating with composer Rochak Kohli on Vicky Donor’s “ Pani Da Rang” and Nautanki Saala’s “ Saddi Gali”, followed by four singles — “ O Heeriye”, “Mitti Di Khusboo”, “Yahin Hoon Main” and “Chan Kitthan” — Ayushmann Khurrana has now lent his voice to a seventh song. This love ballad, “ Nain Na Jodeen”, which releases today, is for Junglee Pictures’ upcoming slice-of-life comedy, Badhaai Ho.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his official Twitter handle to share the song.

Picturised on the 34-year-old actor and his leading lady Sanya Malhotra, it was filmed in Delhi at the duo’s workplace and their residences.

“It’s a Punjabi song, in the same zone as “ Pani Da Rang”, “Saddi Gali” and “Chan Kitthan”, a space that comes naturally to us. It’s the only romantic song in the film showcasing a rough patch that Sanya and my character goes through and so has a bittersweet feel to it. When they approached me to sing it, I loved it so much I immediately agreed,” informs Ayushmann Khurrana, adding that he loves singing and is usually busy with his musical gigs when he isn’t working on a film.

The film is all set to hit the theatres on October 19, this year.
