NAGPUR : In-form city shuttlers Malvika Bansod and Rashi Lambe stormed into the quarterfinals in the Yonex-Sunrise 27th Smt Krishna Khaitan Memorial All India Junior (U-19) Ranking Badminton tournament at Panchkula on Friday.
According to reports, both Malvika and Rashi carved out two facile victories in their respective categories to reach the last eight.
Second seed Malvika, winner of the last week tourney at Chandigarh, started the day on a bright note by dismissing Delhi qualifier Khushi Gupta 21-6, 21-14 in just 26 minutes.
Southpaw Malvika dominated the entire match and taught a lesson or two to her Delhi opponent.
Later in the day, Malvika again accounted for Delhi player. The 17-year-old Malvika overcame the late fightback from Ananya Goel to post a 21-8, 24-22 win in 40 minutes.
