Nagpur Niti team formed for Indian Cleanliness League contest

Nagpur Municipal Corporation formed ‘Nagpur Niti’ team for the Centre’s national-l;evel ‘Indian Cleanliness League’ competition under Swacch Bharat Abhiyan to mark Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava to take various programmes in the city from September 17 to October 2.

Radkarishnan B, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator of NMC, addressed a meeting of the representatives from various voluntary organisations here on Wednesday.

Mehul Kosurkar of Green Vigil Foundation will be the captain of the team. Under the competition, a cleanliness rally woluld be taken out on September 17 at 7 am from University Square on Amravati Road to Vivekanand Smarak, Ambazari to Deekshabhoomi. The citicens will offer ‘shramdaan’ and clean the enroute.

Ram Joshi, Additional Municipal Commissioner, has appealed to the citizens and volunteers of social and voluntary organisations should participate in the rally for cleanliness purpose. They should visit https://innovateindia.mygov.in/swachhyouthrally/ link for registering their names.
