Nagpur : A high-level team of Research Designs & Standard Organization (RDSO) has permitted Metro to go for trials at 90 kilometre per hour (kmph) on the at grade section.
Currently, joyrides are being held on this section and maximum permitted speed is 25 kmph. The oscillation trials would be held next week.
The 3-member team headed by HK Raghu, executive director, urban transport and high speed (UTHS), visited the at grade section to check readiness before oscillation trial run is conducted at 90 kmph. The team also comprised Kamlesh Kumar, (civil) and Naman Kumar, deputy director (mechanical).
The team visited Airport South, New Airport and Khapri Metro stations and MIHAN train maintenance depot. The officials inspected various facilities provided at all levels of the project. The team first inspected Airport South station to check various facilities there. The RDSOteam then inspected the entire section.
