Kasturchand Park to get walking, cycling tracks, greenery within 4 months
Nagpur: Undeveloped for decades, Kasturchand Park (KP) is likely to get walking, cycling tracks in addition to the selfie point within a span of four months.
Seven types of plants will also be planted on both sides of the tracks and behind the selfie point.
Ashok stambh and video wall are the latest additions to the KP’s beautification project.
CM Devendra Fadnavis, union minister Nitin Gadkari, guardian minister Chandrashekar Bawankule, mayor Nanda Jichkar performed bhoomipuja of beautification project at KP on Sunday.
Ruling party leader Sandip Joshi, MLAs Sudhakar Deshmukh, Dr Milind Mane, NIT chairman Deepak Mhaisekar, collector Sachin Kurve, municipal commissioner Ashwin Mudgal and others were present.Architect Ashok Mokha, who designed the beautification project, gave a powerpoint presentation to dignitaries.
Talking to TOI on sidelines of the event, Mokha said Solar Industries Limited has sponsored works of walking, cycling tracks, selfie point and greenery at around Rs2.50 crore and will also execute it.
