Jay Shah says BCCI Implement Equal Pay for Men’s and Women’s Cricketers

Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI, declared equal pay for male and female cricketers on Thursday.

Harmanpreet Kaur and company will receive the same match money as their male counterparts $15 lakh every Test, $6 lakh per ODI, and $3 lakh per T20I under the present system.

In a historic decision, the BCCI declared on Thursday that all centrally contracted men’s and women’s Team India cricketers would receive equal remuneration. Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary, made the announcement on Twitter.

The same match fee will be paid to the female cricketers as it is to their male counterparts. Test ($15 lakh), ODI ($6 lakh), and T20I ($15,000) (INR 3 lakhs). My promise to our female cricket players was pay fairness, and I appreciate the Apex Council’s backing, he continued.
