Pulwama : Two Hizb-ul Mujahideen militants were killed in an encounter with the security forces in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday morning.
The encounter started after a cordon and search operation was launched in Tikken village of Pulwama. The operation was carried out by a joint team of army’s 55RR, 180/183 BN CRPF and SOG.
The officials recovered one Insas rifle, and one AKM from the encounter site.
The slain militants have been identified as Liyaqat Ahmad, of Bellow Pulwama and Wajid, of Babhar Pulwama, respectively.
A Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) militant was killed in an encounter between the militants and the security forces in South Kashmir’s Tral, earlier on Friday.
