Itwari-Balaghat train to boost trade : Motwani

Nagpur : The Railway administration’s decision to extend Itwari-Gondia train to Balaghat will boost trade and help the traders of Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh, said Zonal Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (ZRUCC) member of South Eastern Central Railway (SECR) and Secretary, Wholesale Grain Market Association, Pratap Motwani. The SECR administration took the decision to extend the train to Balaghat, which began its run from Friday.

In a press release, Motwani said there was a long pending demand for a train from Itwari to Balaghat and being pursued by the ZRUCC and District Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (DRUCC) members from time to time. The traders are happy with the introduction of the train, which will increase the trade activities between the two regions, Motwani said.

He met the newly-appointed Senior Divisional Commercial Manager; SECR; K V Ramana and thanked him for fulfilling the long pending demand. Motwani said, the new train will enhance importance of Itwari station.

Mr Ramana assured Motwani and other traders that he would ensure overall development of Itwari and all the other stations in the divisions. He further assured to provide all the necessary facilities to the traders of Itwari.

Motwani also thanked DCM Tomar and ACM Omprakash Jaiswal. DRUCC member from Kamptee Murarilal Sharma was also present on the occasion.
