The Information Technology (IT) professionals from Nagpur joined those from Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Kolkata in watching the live telecast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech via video-conferencing, on Wednesday.
Modi launched ‘Main Nahin Hum’ portal and computer application in Delhi. The event was telecast live across the above-mentioned cities. National Information Centre (NIC) had made arrangements for webcast of the event at its centres in these cities including Nagpur. It had also invited the IT and electronics manufacturing professionals from Government as well as private establishments.
The ‘Main Nahin Hum’ portal works on the theme ‘Self4Society’. It will enable IT professionals and organisations to join hands towards social causes, and serve the society through one single platform. The portal is expected to help catalyse greater collaboration towards serving the weaker sections of society, by leveraging the benefits of technology.
At NIC Nagpur centre, the professionals watched the live telecast.
