Dr. Rajendra Jaiswal’s new record to support Corona Warriors..

These Corona warriors, including doctors, nurses, hygiene and sanitation staff, police personnel, media and several others engaged in maintenance of essential services and supplies have steadfastly contributed to the effort to prevent spread of Covid-19.

To express gratitude and salute the frontline workers on 2nd May, 2020, Dr. Rajendra Jaiswal, a fitness enthusiasts, very elite athlete and renowned Ironman name of the central India created a India Book of Record by running 85kms in his own home drawing room for 12 hours 56 minutes which had been live on Facebook and whole world witnessed the same.

He started running from 5.45 am to 6.40 pm,  with a motive to express gratitude and appreciation towards the determination and committed efforts of our ‘corona warriors’ – the medical professionals, health workers, policemen, government staff and media, for their relentless efforts against Covid-19 through a number of activities on ground, in air and at sea. Dr. Rajendra Jaiswal dedicated this record to spread awareness about the fitness from home in lockdown period wherein in this manner one can at least contribute to reduce the spread of the COVID-19, by staying at home following social distancing norms, staying fit for healthy mind and emotional wellbeing.

He coveys moving your body and breaking a sweat also improves your mood, alleviates depression and aids cognitive abilities which leads to rush of endorphin and dopamine when you finish a challenging yet satisfying workout you are just what you need to stay mentally and emotionally fit.

According to him if he can do 85 km at home then everyone of us can also do at least 5 km walk any time at one’s own home and be healthy. As he is an active member of various not for profit government organization like Rotary Club of Nagpur, Junior Chambers International, so after completion of the record, lot of people have followed him and started indoor exercises and at the same time they have come forward to help Corona Warriors. He had arranged to donate 100 PPE KITS to support and protect them.

Dr.Rajendra Jaiswal is the only Hundred miler runner from Central India and he has also created a record of 81 kms non-stop 12.5 hours run with Tiranga in hand on 26th January 2019 certified by Asia Book of World records. He does physical training daily from morning 5.30 to 7.00 am followed by yoga till 9.00 am in the home only.

This run was all supported by wife Vinita, sons Maaheen, Ritvik, Mr. Sameer Jaiswal, mentors Dr. Amit Samarth, Ms. Sunita Wadhawan Dr. Sunita Dhote, Vaibhav Andhare, Miles and Milers, Orange City Runners, Ashish Agrawal, YogSutra the way of life and Run Buddies.
