IND vs AUS, 2nd ODI, Nagpur : Virat Kohli hits 40th ODI century

Date:

Nagpur : India skipper Virat Kohli smashed his 40th ODI hundred in the second ODI against Australia at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on Tuesday.

The landmark moment came in the 44 over when Kohli found a boundary through the backward point region off Nathan Coulter-Nile.

This marked King Kohli’s seventh ton against Australia. The 120-ball 116 comprised 10 fours — the last one being his 1,000th four.

This is Kohli’s second ODI hundred of 2019; the first one came against the Aussies in their own backyard — the 104 in Adelaide in January. The maverick batsman has already scored 345 runs in the format.

Kohli’s consistency should hold India good leading up to the ICC World Cup that starts in May.
