The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur also known as IIM Nagpur is a public business school located in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India
It is one of the nineteen Indian Institutes of Management. IIM Nagpur is located within the campus of VNIT Nagpur till it moves to its own campus (of approx 135 acres) later. The institute started its first batch of Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Management on 23rd July 2015. It was inaugurated by Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Miniter of Maharastra State. The institute currently offers the two-year post graduate programme (PGP). It was the first among the six Indian Institutes of Management set up by the Government of India to begin its operations.
As a new generation IIM, IIM Nagpur aims to innovatively address the needs of a modern India. IIM Nagpur offers Post Graduate Programme (PGP), which is equivalent to the MBA. PGP at IIM Nagpur is a general, fully integrated management programme and includes courses in accounting, behavioral sciences, finance, economics, human resource management, marketing, business operations, public policy, strategy and general management. It aims to create leaders, managers and entrepreneurs with strong conceptual foundations and analytical rigour rooted in a sound understanding of the socio-economic context, regardless of the sector they work in, be it business, not-for-profit, government-related or social change
Two years of the programme are divided into six terms with a summer internship in-between the two years.
IIM Nagpur PGP Admission Process 2017
This document describes the shortlisting and selection criteria for the 2017-2019PGP batch at IIM Nagpur. The batch size will be 60 students. The admission process at IIM Nagpur takes into account the candidate’s Past Academic Performance (PAP), Work Experience (WE), and performance in CAT.
IIM Nagpur Selection Procedure 2017
The selection process for admission in PGP at IIM Nagpur will include three stages i.e. Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).The Institute will award 20% weight age to work experience and 30% to past academic performance, whereas CAT score will still be given the highest weight age for selection i.e. 50%.

IIM Nagpur is ranked 38th in the Career360’s Top Public B-Schools Ranking in India 2017. In its very first year, students of IIM Nagpur organized their maiden entrepreneurship conference, Initiative in Central India Towards Entrepreneurship, by inviting prominent panelist from the startup world. In the second year, students organized their maiden human resources conclave, ILLUME, by inviting experts from Future Group, Lenovo, Lafarge, Shopclues, Kotak Life Insurance, Housing.com among others.
