One of the most famous singers, Honey Singh’s wife Shalini Talwar had filed for divorce in Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court. If reports are to be believed, Shalini had demanded Rs 10 crore alimony for divorce from Honey Singh. But now a settlement has been reached between the two on Rs 1 crore. Honey Singh and Shalini are now officially divorced. Honey Singh handed over a check of Rs 1 crore as alimony to Shalini Talwar in a sealed envelope on Thursday.
Honey Singh’s wife Shalini filed a petition in Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court on August 3, alleging domestic violence against Yo Yo Honey Singh. He had alleged that Hirdesh Singh’s alias Honey Singh assaulted him. His wife also claimed that Honey Singh was in a physical relationship with other women.
After this Honey Singh took to social media and wrote, “I am deeply pained and distressed by the false and malicious allegations levied against we and my family by any companion/wife of 20 years, Mrs. Shalini Talwar. The allegations are severely odious. I have never issued a public statement or press note in the past despite being subjected to harsh criticism for my lyrics, speculation on my health, & negative media coverage in general. However, I see no merit in maintaining a studied silence this time because some of the allegations have been directed at my family — my old parents and younger sister — who have stood by me during some very difficult and trying times and comprise my world. The allegations are cynical and defaming in nature.”
