The senior selection committee on Thurday announced three replacements in India’s Asia Cup squad after Hardik Pandya, Shardul Thakur and Axar Patel were ruled out due to injuries.
Deepak Chahar will be replacing Pandya, while Ravindra Jadeja and Siddharth Kaul are in for Patel and Thakur respectively.
Hardik Pandya, who suffered an acute lower back spasm during the game against Pakistan has been ruled out for the remainder of the series. Likewise, Axar too injured his left index finger while fielding during the game against Pakistan and the scans revealed a tendon tear.
Thakur was ruled out after picking up hip and groin soreness during India’s opening game against Hong Kong. BCCI confirmed that Chahar, Jadeja and Kaul will be joining the Indian team in Dubai on Thursday.
