The little over 2-minute trailer introduces Anil Kapoor as a taxi driver who couldn’t fulfill his dreams of becoming a singer in his youth. Many years later, his teenage daughter also has similar aspirations but is body-shamed to the extent that her talent goes ignored on various platforms.
Anil Kapoor’s character is the super dad who is determined to make his daughters dream come true and will go to any extent. With the limitations of coming from a middle-class family, he decides to kidnap pop star Baby Singh played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Rajkumar Rao‘s character helps him in kidnaping her but ends up bonding with Ash’s character.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looks glamorous in the role of desi Beyonce and lights up with the screen each time she appears in the trailer. Ash’s scenes with Rajkumar Rao are the cutest portions in the Fanney Khan trailer. Rajkummar Rao looks awestruck by the senior actress and it works perfectly for his part. Anil Kapoor is the Secret Superstar here, yes the film will remind you of Aamir Khan’s film in spite of being a totally different plot.
The tussle between the teenage daughter and her father is relatable as Divya Dutt who plays Anil Kapoor’s wife is like every other mother who tries to create a balance between the husband and the child.
Looking a Bollywood potboiler, Fanney Khan trailer promises to make you cry and smile along with its characters’ journey.
