Nagpur : Informing the public about the registration of 10 lakh workers in State, Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “We will not focus merely on registration but shall try to ensure that every worker gets benefit of the schemes. We will provide nutritious diet under Atal Aahaar Yojna to workers at their workplace in mere Rs 5.”
Fadnavis was speaking at a programme at Kasturchand Park ground organised by Maharashtra Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Sambhaji Patil Nilangekar, Minister of Workers Welfare; Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Nagpur’s Guardian Minister; Mahadev Jankar, Animal and Dairy Development Minister; Krupal Tumane, MP; Dr Vikas Mahatme, MP; Nanda Jichkar, Mayor; Sandip Joshi, Chairman, Maharashtra Small and Medium Scale Industries Development Corporation; Omprakash Yadav, President of Workers Welfare Board; Rajiv Jadhav, Labour Commissioner; Shrirangam, Secretary of Construction Worker Board; Vijay Panbude, Additional Labor Commissioner were present.
“Government will give grant of Rs 4.5 lakh for the construction of houses of workers. Government is committed to honour the toiling by workers. We have put a target of registering 25 lakh workers in State and provide all benefits to them,” commented Fadnavis.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced Shramev Jayate Scheme under which workers who have attained 60 years of age are to be given the pension of Rs 3,000. Maharashtra Government has registered 2.5 lakh workers under Shramev Jayate scheme, informed Fadnavis.
Fadnavis also announced the bhoomipujan of Punyashlok Ahalyadevi Holkar Sabhagruh. Government will build 100 such halls throughout the State. Construction of 61 such halls are principally approved. Halls will be constructed with the help of social organisations. Rajiv Jadhav compered the programme while Vijaykant Panbude proposed a vote of thanks.
