Nagpur: Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm across the city. Many organisations took out processions, some provided langar and water service for the devotees while some conducted felicitation programme in the city.
On the occasion, City police chief Dr. Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay felicitated artist Haji Iqbal Ashrafi for making a beautiful model at Maulana Ejaj Square depicting importance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. The model was inaugurated at the hands of Dr Upadhyay. Shahbaz Khan Ashrafi, Nizamuddin Ansari, Saleem Ashrafi, Shamim Ejaz, Khalil Taji, Haji Kadir, Tauseef Rizwi, Aabid Taji, Shakir Ashrafi, Hasan Nakwi, Nema Thaokar, Saif Ali and others were present during this occasion.
Lalabhai Qureshi, President of BJP Minority Morcha, led the huge procession taken out on the occasion of Jash-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi from Golibar Square. Organisation worked also showered flowers on the devotees.
The procession was attended by thousands of people from North Nagpur Teka Badi Masjid, Aasi Nagar, Habib Nagar, Taj Nagar, Farooq Nagar, Mahendra Nagar, Kamgar Nagar and Yashodhara Nagar.
MP Dr Vikas Mahatme, MLA Vikas Kumbhare, Deputy Mayor Deepraj Pardikar, Jamal Siddiqui, Bhojraj Dubey, Ramesh Wankhede, Dilip Gaur, Mobin Patel, Anandrao Thombre, Abdul Qadir, Mohsin Jafar Khan and others were present.
Vice President Javed Khan, Firoz Pathan, Irfan Kabadi, Babu Khan, Sheikh Altaf, Rizwan,Ahmed, Shabana Ansari and others worked hard to make the programme successful.
