Eesha Malkani is new Miss Maharashtra Queen 2018

Eesha Malkani captured the highly regarded crown of Deepali Mishra and Honda Activa-i present ‘Miss Maharashtra Queen 2018’ beauty pageant cum personality contest, in association with Rotary Club of Nagpur North. A jam-packed Naivedhyam Eastoria was the witness for the popularity of the Grand Finale and a nail-biting finish made it more compelling.

Along with the coveted crown, Eesha pocketed a brand new ‘Honda Activa-i’ Two Wheeler as the winning prize. Riyanka Jaiswal bagged the first runner-up award while Jasmine Kaur was termed as the second runner-up in the competition. The 1st runner-up bagged a 32-inch LED TV and the 2nd runner-up took for herself a Music System.

All the 16 girls who had been selected for the finale of the contest had applied from all over Maharashtra. The grand show was distributed in 3 rounds, viz. Traditional wear round (Introduction), Western garments round (Question-Answer) and the Evening Gown round (Common question for finalists). The 16 finalists faced unique questions thrown by the jury panel and they had to answer them with wit and élan.

The designing of all the glamorous outfits for the contestants was done by known fashion designer Anish Ray while the pageant crown was designed by Dr Rupinder Chhatwal from Pal Creations Unique Boutique.

Similarly, sub-contests titles like ‘Miss Beautiful Skin’, ‘Miss Beautiful Smile’, ‘Miss Catwalk’ and ‘Miss Popular’ were bestowed on Jasmin Morayya, Riyanka Jaiswal, Eesha Malkani and Aishwarya Chauhan respectively. Noted singer from Nagpur, Shruti Jain rocked the atmosphere with her melodious and soulful performance. Biji George and Reecha Sugandh were the emcees of the mega show. A couple of mind-blowing Salsa dance acts by Eshan & Preeti (‘India’s Got Talent – season 5’ fame) kept the audience entertained throughout.

Mrs Neepa Singh (Mrs. United Nations Classic 2017), Mrs Prachi Agrawal (Mrs. Asia International 2017), Rtn. Ajay Kapoor (President of Rotary Club of Nagpur North), TV actress Shweta Sinha ( ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ fame), Dr. Harsha Jharia (National Assessor for National Skill Development Cooperation, Delhi), Sarvesh Agrawal (Centre Director, INIFD Nagpur), Mr. Akhil Sharma (Zonal In charge, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.) and Gwen Athaide (Actress-cum-singer) were the distinguished jury panel of the contest.
Air Marshal Hemant Sharma (34th Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Headquarters Maintenance Command, Indian Air Force), Mrs. Kusum Sharma (Wife of Air Marshal Hemant Sharma and President of Air Force Wives Welfare Association Regional, Nagpur), Mr. Satish Goyal (Commissioner, Income Tax Department), Mr. Jaiprakash Gupta (Well-known politician & Senior BJP Leader), Mr. Dilip Kamdar (Owner, Naivedhyam Group), Jyoti Kapoor (Co-Founder of Infinite Space Games and Services firm) were invited as the guests of honour. Many other who’s who of the beauty, fashion and entrepreneurs sector remained prominently present.

Acclaimed international choreographer, Shakir Shaikh was the Show Director. Mohd Meraj (Fashion Stylist) remained the backbone of the show and the official Public Relations Head was Tushar Mahajan. The show was conceived and coordinated by eminent event manager Dinesh Mishra.

“Pageant is not always concerned with ‘beauty’ only, but much more than that. It’s a roller-coaster ride of emotions, experience, hard work and all the efforts that the contestants put into it. The victory belonged to those who believed in their dreams and dared to achieve them”, said Dinesh, who has been successfully organising this show from more than a decade now. Powered by Enrico Heights, Vedom’s, New Era Sports and G H Raisoni University, Chic Beauty Parlour was their style partner while Pepsi was their beverage partner.
