Eye makeup is the most essential part of makeup. Specially for an Indian face, eye makeup is the key for a complete look. An evening party, a candle light dinner or a 9 a.m. meeting, the right eye make-up can set you on track for any occasion. With the many varieties of eye make-up equipments, you may choose to hit the classics or adorn the brights with just the blink of an eye.
Knowing your eye shape is certainly going to help to achieve the best results.
Step 1:
Please take a closer at the crease in your eyelid. A magnifying mirror and good light will certainly provide better view.
However, any mirror and artificial light will do if you can get clear view of your eyes.
To understand what crease is, please refer the below image:
If your eyelid doesn’t have crease at all, you have “Monolid” eyes. You don’t need to progress the remaining steps.
If you have a crease, however it is hidden underneath the upper part of your lid or your brow bone, you have “Hooded” eye shape. In this case also, you don’t need to follow the rest of the steps.
If your eyelid have a crease which is visible, follow the next steps.
Step 2:
Now, in the second step we need to find the position of eye’s outer corner. Imagine a straight and horizontal line extending through the center of eye.
If imagining a straight line is difficult, use a coffer stirrer or a scale. Place it across the horizontal center of one eye. Use the other eye to examine the outer corners of your blocked eye.
If the outer corners of your eyes lie above of this line then you have “Upturned“ eyes. You don’t need to progress the remaining steps.
If the outer corner lie below this line, then you have “Downturned” eyes. You don’t need to progress the remaining steps.
However, if your outer corners lie near the center line, you will need to follow the further steps.
Step 3:
In this step, we will examine the whites around the iris.
Iris is the coloured portion of the eye. If you can see the white below or above your iris, you have “Round” eyes.
If you can’t see any white above or below the iris, you have “Almond” eyes.
Stay tuned, we will publish another set of tips.
