Nagpur: The social security branch (SSB) of crime branch has on Wednesday raided a sex den being run in plush Swan Salon in Gokulpeth area here and arrested two people including a woman involved in the trade. Cops have also rescued two girls from the spot. The arrested accused include Shalini Laxman Kamble, 36, resident of Mahesh Nagar in Mankapur, and Tushar Kanhaiya Paraswani, 24, resident of Mahesh Nagar near Itwari railway station here.
The police received a tip off that the sex racket was being run in Swan unisex family salon located in Lotus building at Gokulpeth. Cops sent a dummy customer at the salon where he inquired about girls. As the operators gained trust over him, the three girls were brought to the hall. The punter immediately alerted the police who then raided the place.A case under Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA) has been registered against Shalini and Tushar at Ambazari police station.
The operation was carried out as per the directives of DCP Sambhaji Kadam and ACP Sanjeev Kamble. The raiding team included inspector Vikram Gound, Meena Jagtap, PSI Smita Sonawani, ASI Damodar Rajurkar, Subash Khedkar, photographer Baliram Revatkar, Head Constable Sheetlaprasad Mishra, Sanjay Pandey, Manoj Chavan, constable Prahlad Dole, Surekha Sandekar, Chhaaya Raut and Sadhana Chavan. The team conducted raid in present of social worker Vijayarani Reddy and Nisha More.
