Nagpur : Aelisha Yadav has set the perfect example of beauty with brain. Just at the age of 18, a young college girl has brought laurels to the city by winning the crown of Miss India Diva Globe. The beauty pageant was organised by Virus Films and Entertainment at Bhilwara Rajasthan on September 16. A young model had been preparing herself for the pageant from the last two years.
She followed her role model Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra and Miss Universe 1994, Sushmita Sen, to win the title. “Since at the age of 16, I had been dreaming to become a super model and an actress. While preparing myself, I had gone through all the modeling shows of Priyanka Chopra that taught me two important factors, to be confident always and to believe in yourself,” said Aelisha at a press conference. Currently, she is a twelfth standard student of G H Raisoni College. Aelisha was one of the 20 girls selected from all over the India. At teenage, she smartly crossed all the five rounds Introduction Round, Talent Round, Western Designer Round, Traditional Designer Round and Question/Answer Round.
In both the designer round, Aelisha was the show stopper. Narrating her experience, she says, “In comparision with other participants, I was very junior and less experienced. Still, selfconfidence and self-belief helped to won the hearts of the judges.” A young model had participated in many beauty pageant and have won many titles in the last two years. She has also worked as a theatre artist from Rang Rasiya Theatre. She said that working in theatre has taught her to be disciplined and sincere to the profession. She was the first runner up of fashion Kingdom’s Miss Vidarbha Queen. She gave credit of her success to her parents, Jyoti and Sunil Yadav, both business persons, fashion photographer Swapnil Moon and Praful, Choreographer, Taposh Shinde and trainer, Shree Kumar, who always supported and motivated her. Aelisha’s parents, Shinde, Megha Anand and others were present at the press conference.
