Independence Day was celebrated with full zeal & enthusiasm at Nagpur Branch of ICAI Dhantoli Nagpur. Flag hoisting at the occasion was done by the Senior Chartered Accountant CA. B C Bhartia. While addressing the gathering B C Bhartia said that celebrating Independence gives us a sense of belonging and motivation to develop ourselves as a nation.
He urged the members and students to value the Independence by contributing professionally and individually to the development of country. While commenting on the role of Chartered Accountants in the nation he said that Ca’s are responsible to ensure that social fabric of the country is intact with responsibility of guiding the government and citizens to a better future.
CA. B C Bhartia further highlighted the importance of use of Hindi language in our day to day communication. He said that the young generation should feel proud of Hindi language and should ensure that Hindi language is not forgotten in the process of learning foreign languages.
Chairman of the Branch CA. Umang V Agrawal welcomed all the members and Students. He said that CA’s play an important role in nation building and urged the members and students to make best use of their skills to help government further propel the economy of the country. He highlighted the importance of Performance, Transformations and reformation a chartered accountant can create for society at large.
He also added that the seniors of the profession have played an instrumental role in building the worlds fastest growing economy and therefore continued hardwork should be done by the young generation on the same lines.
Further on the ven of Independence day the Branch organized a cultural program ‘Ek sham Desh ke Naam’ wherein members and students presented various performances in the spirit of independence and nationalism. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ajni Shri Nilesh Bharne, shared his thoughts on the role of Police in the harmony and discipline in the country while the role of Chartered Accountants is that of ensuring financial stability in the economy.
He also shared his experiences he had as Nodal Officer in the Uttarakhand floods in the year 2013. Shri Sandeep Pathey also presented a documentary ‘Sardesh ka Sandesh’ showcasing the various borders India shares with neighboring countries.
CA. Jiten Saglani co-ordinated the programme. Secretary, Nagpur Branch, CA. Kirit Kalyani proposed the vote of thanks. Prominently present on the occasion were CA.
